not complaining is a newsletter about people feeling their way through life. It’s an exploration of how very important ‘complaining’ actually is, and the hope that exists for us all.
Who is Clare?
Wow okay, bold question from someone I barely know? I’m a writer and storyteller based in Portland, Oregon. Before finding my way into writing, I was the director at a non-profit (specializing in gleaning: an up cycling practice to rescue edible food from our waste stream and redistribute it to families in need), while simultaneously launching my first small business, a tiny bread bakery. When I’m not working or writing this newsletter, I write poetry, coach fitness classes, and try to spend as much time in the backcountry or near the ocean as possible. My travels have inspired my personal writing, and I hope to publish a small book of poems someday.
